Is Traditional Media Dying?

Twitter- Facebook-Myspace- about 10 years ago these were all foreign terms to most people. Now these are apart of our everyday life. Newspapers, Magazines, paper coupons, radio stations are slowly disappearing. We are seeing more and more digital media being displayed everyday.

While the older generation still uses methods of traditional media, they are still rapidly progressing and learning new things.

I look forward this blogging more this semester.

They Should’ve Warned Me

Born to be a Bride

When I was pregnant, everyone was all about “warning” me about what was coming next. I walked around much of those ten (let’s face it, pregnancy is ten, not nine, months) absolutely terrified. The warnings flew at me from every angle — in the checkout line at Target, on the street, slipping my shoes on and walking out of the yoga studio. Warnings, warnings everywhere about what was to come — from the excruciating, mind-numbing pain of childbirth to the shell of my former self I was about to become once I had her. There were times I felt like a prisoner on death row, trying to force myself to enjoy some tiny luxury despite my size and discomfort, because if you asked around, apparently my petty joys would be ending pretty soon!

17 Things People Born In The Early 90s Are Currently Experiencing

Thought Catalog

1. The realization that the next incoming high school freshmen were born in the 2000s, meaning the high school reign of 90s babies is over… and that we’re… old…

2. Prior to now, the most ill-fitted individuals that could possibly get married or raise a child were the only ones doing so, but now the people who are getting engaged and pregnant are, y’know, your friends.

3. You’re officially in the era of “what you’re going to do.” Your entire life is defined by your future, not by what it is now. It’s the only thing people ask you about, and really the only thing you’re able to focus on.

4. Dating is awkward because you’re either going to get engaged or break up, and more likely than not in a short period of time. Gone are the days of just dating because you like each other — somebody is always wondering…

15 Signs You’re With A Good Man

JamesMSama.com

When it comes to dating and relationships, I often find myself wondering how certain people end up with others. Wondering why they don’t walk away if they don’t get what they deserve and hoping that they truly appreciate their teammate if they are getting what they deserve.

I think a big part of the problem blurring this line is that many people aren’t even quite sure what a healthy relationship looks like these days or how a ‘good man’ (or woman) should act towards their partner. To help clarify, I have put together this list of how a good man should act while in a relationship.

A good man never lets you forget how much he loves you.

I cannot tell you how many conversations I have had with women who tell me that there is no affection in their relationship. The man in their life does not make them feel…

Why I Hope My Ex Was A Once-In-A-Lifetime Kind Of Love

So true, every word of it.

Thought Catalog

Yesterday I ran into a friend I hadn’t seen in awhile. As we did our quick five-minute catch-up, she asked me how my ex was doing. After I did my well rehearsed polite response, “Actually we aren’t together anymore, so I am not entirely sure,” she gave me the immediate look of sadness and sympathy that I always get. I’m well used to that look, I guess that’s what happens when the man you thought you were going to marry breaks up with you, but after giving me “the look,” she told me that she knows I’ll find someone new and I will love him just as much, if not more. Her words, meant to make me feel better about being single, really got me thinking.

I hope she is wrong. I hope I never find someone I love as much as him.

I don’t say that because…

ANKENY, IA (WHO) — An Ankeny woman went into a walk-in clinic with stomach pains and received news she never expected, she was pregnant with a rare set of twins and didn’t even know it. Shelby Magnani and James Croskey are embracing their news roles as parents. It’s a role they didn’t plan for and had no idea was coming.

“I had really sharp pain in my left side and went into the doctor, and they said we think you might be pregnant. They told me I was six months and told me to get down to the ER. They did an ultrasound and told me it was twins,” says Shelby Magnani.

Her finance James Croskey was shocked to hear the news. “It`s pretty nuts, still sinking in.”

Also sinking in, the twins already beat some very long odds. “About one to two percent of all pregnancies are…
